Bellevue Blast 18u goes 5-0 in USA Preps Exposure Tourney in Pasco

Blast 2000 went 5-0 in the USA Preps Washington Instructional Camp & Tournament and finished in the top 4 teams who were all 5-0.  Team batting average was .400 with five players hitting .500 or better.  Pitchers Kaitlyn Recob and Hanako Hirai hit as well as they pitched — both hit .545 over the five games.  Three other players, Ariana Arnone, Jill Tinsley, and Ren Watanabe, also hit .500 or better for the weekend.  Charis Jones let the way with 7 RBIs with four other players, Noelle Thomas, Ariana, Jill, and Hanako tied for second with 6 RBIs each.

Amy Chen and Noelle led a solid outfield effort with 10 putouts between them, several in spectacular fashion.  Check out the pictures and a great gif of Noelle’s catch at the fence with a verbal assist from Amy.  Thank you to Eric Chen for some great pics and a great gif of Noelle’s catch of the day.

Blast comes from behind twice on Saturday to go 3-0 at Flame Invite

Bellevue Blast 2000 won all three pool games on Saturday night to be the second seed in Sunday’s 18u Gold bracket.  The first game against Havoc was a blow out for Blast, but the next two against good pitchers were tough come-from-behind wins that showed that tough practice makes a tough team.  Enjoy the pictures from Eric Chen.
